Inspired by Monet's water lilies series and his ponds and garden, I dug a small pond for my own yard which provides constant inspiration and fascination. This is my modern approach to the subject, one of a growing series of original paintings capturing not just the light but the moving, living energy of the pond and garden itself. The original work was also exhibited at Global Visions Contemporary Fine Art Gallery in Houston's Post Oak Hilton.
The works in the series are designed to evoke a sense of peace and calm like gently rippling waves and best viewed as large as possible like the originals.
