This Masterworks limited edition is based on the original oil on canvas study (24x68") created as a reference work to the larger commissioned mural for a private collector in Liberty Hill, TX. While the original oil study itself is sold, this masterwork edition captures all the color and peaceful energy of the original. The fine art giclee at this scale is like having a window into an sofa sized aquarum. Each print in this limited edition archival giclee on canvas masterworks series at 21x60" or 14x40" is identified as such because each is created exclusively on order by the original artist personally in his studio, using photographs created also by him to insure absolute color fidelity to the original work. Only 25 prints at each of the two sizes will ever be created worldwide.
 
The work itself was inspired by the waterlilies series by the French Impressionist Claude Monet. As well as the koi pond with waterlilies in his own backyard he made and maintains. Homage to Monet is the artist's passion for the beauty and energy of nature in swirling color.

Homage to Monet is the artist's passion for the beauty and energy of nature in swirling color. This limited edition is based on the original oil on canvas study (24x68") created as a reference work to the larger commissioned mural for a private collector in Liberty Hill, TX. While the original oil study itself is sold, high resolution photographs by the artist make possible identical archival reproductions of the work at the full size of the original painting. This masterwork edition captures all the color and peacefulness of the original. The fine art giclee at this scale is like having a window into an sofa sized aquarum. Each print in this limited edition 7 color archival giclee on canvas masterworks series at 21x60" or 14x40" is identified as such because each is created exclusively  by the original artist in his studio, using his own photographs and in-house printing to insure absolute fidelity to the original work. Truly each print in this edition is a work of art in it's own genesis. Every step in your Masterwork Limited Edition print is done only by the artist.

Koi Mural Study. In creating a mural I'll often start by doing a digital painting to work out the concept and composition. Sometimes after that I'll do a an actual small(er) scale painting (as is true with this project). Then the mural at full size. So this print is of the first study for the original painting study for the mural "Homage to Money, Koi & Waterliliess".  This is one of the rare digital studies I've created that will ever be released in print form as a work of art in it's own right.
