Van Gogh and Monet merge in my contemporary take on the works of both masters. Inspired by Monet's water lilies series and his ponds and garden, I dug a small pond for my own yard which provides constant inspiration and fascination. This is my modern approach to  the subject with a nod to Vincent's Starry Night, one of a growing series of original paintings capturing not just the light but the moving, living energy of the pond and garden itself. The works in the series are designed to evoke a sense of peace and calm like gently rippling waves.

The original work was exhibited in the "Living Waters two person Exhibition" at Global Visions Contemporary Fine Art Gallery in Houston's Post Oak Hilton. And it was also selected by curators for inclusion in ArtFluent Gallery's "Just Add Water" juried international exhibition in Boston, MA in June 2026 out of 704 entries from 12 nations.
